Recycling

As most of you will be aware, by law, from 6 April 2024, all workplaces including businesses, public bodies and the third sector are required to separate recyclable materials from their general waste. This is to improve the quality and quantity of commercial recyclable waste that is collected and separated across Wales.

Recyclable materials must be separated from general waste into the categories below;

  • Food waste
  • Paper and card
  • Cardboard
  • Glass
  • Tins & cans
  • Plastic
  • Cartons and other similar packaging
  • Unsold small electrical and electronic equipment
  • Unsold Textiles

Please note that not all categories apply to us.

How recycling works at Bank Farm

You will see that we have introduced different coloured and labelled bins onsite in order for us to comply with the new law. We kindly ask that all customers ensure the correct waste goes in each bin to avoid cross contamination. If you are unsure, please ask a member of staff.

Anything that cannot be recycled must be put in a black bag and put into general waste. Black bags can be obtained from the office.

Green & pink bags are no longer permitted; all recyclable items must be put into the bins loosely.

Where are the recycling bins at Bank Farm?

The recycling bins are located next to the toilet & shower block.

There are:

  • Can bins
  • Plastic bins
  • Glass & bottle bank
  • General Waste – blue skip
  • Garden waste & wood – trailer
  • All cardboard can be brought down to reception.

You will also find smaller can, plastic and glass bins down by the clubhouse.
